How to Prepare

  • Every PM behavioral story needs scope, timeline, budget, and stakeholder context — use STAR with those four dimensions.
  • Know the triple constraint (scope/time/cost) and be ready to discuss trade-offs you've made between them.
  • Be specific about tools: JIRA, Asana, MS Project, Smartsheet, Monday.com — proficiency is often screened.
  • PMP or PMI-ACP certification signals rigor; if you have it, know how to apply PMBOK concepts practically, not just academically.
  • Prepare an escalation story — what you escalated, to whom, when, and why. Interviewers probe judgment around when not to escalate.
